A William and Mary / Queen Anne period two part walnut bureau of extremely sophisticated and elegant design, the separate writing bureau with crossbanded top, secret drawers, book slides, pigeon holes and a slide compartment with secret locking device. The lower part of serpentine form with wonderfully carved cross cut mouldings. The whole raised on shaped bracket feet. This piece has great colour and is in original state.
