An early 17th century James I period oak coffer the moulded lid above a three panel front with pegged frame featuring wide stiles, typical of this period, the panels carved with delightful lovebirds, tulips and curlicues, the whole enhanced with chequered stringing throughout. Paneled sides. Fabulous colour and original patination.
