A very unusual circular hardwood stool, probably made as a love token, the circular top decorated with an inlaid 9 pointed star, raised on three slightly splayed carved legs similarly stained. England. C. 1790

In Christianity, a nine-pointed star has been used by some to represent the "fruits of the Spirit" from Galatians 5:22, with each point symbolizing one of the fruits: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
