When available we purchase oil and watercolour paintings and even engravings if they have a primitive or naive feel to the subjects and topics and these may include portraits, family portraits, cottage interiors, subjects of naval, rural and urban industrial interest, prize animals such as pigeons, horses, bulls, cows, sheep, dogs, cats and pigs. We carry highly decorative topographical period engravings including maps, architectural views of buildings and gardens.
We also sell good examples of wallpaper including early Sanderson hand blocked panels and good 19th century Japanese signed watercolours and woodblocks of horticultural subjects especially iris and other flowers, not forgetting fine examples of early 19th century Chinese export rice paper pictures with varied subjects...
