Antique Metalware As a business we specialise in domestic and ecclesiastical artefacts in bronze, brass, iron and steel from 1400 to 1700 although in addition we do carry some 18th and 19th century examples. Regarding the pre-1700 period we are particularly interested in holding pieces showing the development of candlesticks in brass and bronze, alms dishes from the Dinanderie period through Nuremburg finishing in the early 18th century with the Dutch repousee dishes, braziers, mortars, cooking pots, bowls, lavabos, wall sconces and chandeliers. The 18th century excluding the facsimilies of the silver models in brass takes us into the realm or the lower and vernacular end of the social scale. We try to stock good examples of table rush lights and candle holders in iron and wood and wherever possible...
