About Antique Miniature furniture

Fine miniatures were made at all periods either as apprentice pieces or travellers samples and once again reflect the design preferences of the fashion of the day regarding style and use of materials. They are mainly miniature examples of antique case furniture and antique dining and occasional tables. Sometimes they not only function to represent their form but incorporate another function sush as an antique needle work box or an antique decanter box. Occassionally we find excellent miniature examples of antique chairs of any given period and these are well collected.
