About Antique Desks & Escritoires

Due to the rarity of writing furniture pre 1700 our stock is mainly resrticted to the case pieces from the William and Mary period mainly the antique walnut fall front escritoire and the henceforth ubiquitous antique walnut fall front bureau. From Queen Anne onwards we try to stock antique kneehole desks and antique dressing tables, antique bureaux, large antique flat topped 9 drawer and partners desks and the lighter antique writing devices of the Hepplewhite and Sheraton period and on into the elegant and refined antique writing and library furniture of the Regency.
